Naturopathic Medicine

Practicing as a Naturopathic Doctor in Regina, I integrate the foundational principles of Naturopathic Medicine with somatic experiencing, nutritional counseling, nutrient supplementation, plant medicine, detoxification support, and adjunctive therapies such as pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and breathing behavior analysis.

Naturopathic Doctor in Regina

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I approach health by looking at the whole person- body, mind, soul, spirit… and nervous system.

I believe that lasting wellness comes from understanding the interconnectedness of all aspects of your health. Central to this is the balance of the autonomic nervous system, the delicate interplay between “fight or flight” and “rest and digest.” This balance influences everything from digestion, immunity, hormone regulation, blood sugar, and cardiovascular health to mood, cognition, and overall mental well-being. When the nervous system is supported, the body is better able to heal itself innately and through the tools that I will prescribe as an ND.

Your daily life and habits will also be a major focus of what we discuss and work together on. I am a huge proponent of this, as there is no treatment plan that can overcome daily factors undermining it. It is also bordering on insanity to think we can get healthy doing the same things that got us to the state of health that we are not happy with.

By combining these tools, I will help you create individualized, practical, and sustainable (although sometimes challenging) plans for health.

I have particular focus on the following conditions:

  • Concussion Care: acute care, persistent symptoms, as well as optimization for those in high risk sports.

  • Neurological and brain injuries: History of traumatic brain injury, cognitive health and memory, neuropathy, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke recovery.

  • Mental health support: anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, and stress-related concerns

  • Immune and autoimmune conditions: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus

  • Surgery preparation and recovery

  • Lyme disease and tick-borne infections testing

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Digestive and metabolic health: food sensitivities, digestive complaints, blood sugar regulation, pre-diabetes and diabetes, IBS and IBD (Crohn’s and Colitis)

  • Fatigue, sleep, and stress management

  • Acute Complaints: urinary problems including UTI’s, sinus issues, vaginal infections, upper respiratory infections, etc.

    • I require concomitant care with a Medical Doctor for these conditions in case a prescription is required in a timely manner. My goal is to treat as many infections as quickly and efficiently as possible to avoid antibiotic use whenever possible for your own health and to lower the number of antibiotic prescriptions given out that are contributing to the major concern of antibiotic resistance.

  • Pediatric concerns: infections, eczema, asthma, digestive issues, and other common pediatric conditions
